Fees & PoliciesFees OverviewYou will be required to pay a $200 bond to secure your child’s position at Acorn Early Learning Centre. If a position becomes available at Acorn Early Learning Centre and you do not wish to accept it, your enrolment bond is non-refundable. Provided you give one month’s written notification to the manager if you withdraw your child from Acorn Early Learning Centre, this bond will be deducted from your final account. Fees are due one month in advance to maintain your child’s place on the roll. Invoices are located in the foyer alphabet pocket system under children’s first names. Fees are also due if your child’s enrolment falls on a statutory holiday. Fees are reviewed in July each year and any adjustments take effect from 1 September of that year. In August, we will notify parents and caregivers of any changes to fees. Please contact Work and Income New Zealand if you are eligible for a childcare subsidy. An end-of-year financial statement will be printed out for tax claiming purposes. Parents will be eligible for a 10% discount on children’s fees if they have two or more children enrolled in our centre. This discount will apply to each child enroled within this family. If your child is over three years you are eligible for up to 6 hours per day, up to 20 hours per week subsidised early childhood education under the 20 Hours ECE policy. To receive this entitlement, you must complete and sign an Attestation Form to confirm your child is not attending another centre during the same claimed hours. At this time you will be asked how you would like to allocate the subsidised ECE hours across your child’s days of attendance. This form is available form the centre manager. Your child may receive 20 Hours ECE at more than one ECE service. In that case you will need to decide how you choose to spread the subsidised ECE hours between the two services, up to the maximum of 6 hours per day, 20 hours total per week. For parents who have shared custody of their children and have separate care arrangements, you must ensure that your attestation form confirms that you are not enrolled for more than 6 hours per day and 20 hours per week between you and times do not overlap. Parents will be charged a centre fee for hours outside the free ECE hours. This will be the balance of the daily tuition fee, minus the money received for the Ministry-funded free ECE hours. This balance (a reduced rate payment) is required to cover costs of this service. Please note that Acorn Early Learning Centre require parents who wish to claim under the 20 Hours ECE policy to enrol their child for a minimum of 3 days. Find out how to enrol Tuition Fees
